Would You Risk Vaginal Burns?

Women holding stomach for pain

Jada Pinkett Smith made headlines after having her “yoni” treated with an energy-based device. Saying incontinence led her to try vaginal rejuvenation, the celebrity reports the procedure turned her vagina into a ‘little beautiful peach.’

But here’s what she didn’t say. She didn’t say that these procedures aren’t covered by insurance and can cost thousands. Nor did she say that treatment isn’t permanent or long-term, or that her yoni will probably go back to looking like it belongs on a 46-year old within a year if she doesn’t have it done again. She didn’t say that the tools used to perform vaginal rejuvenation haven’t been proven to be effective, or that the companies that make the devices haven’t sought or received approval from the FDA for their devices to be used in the vagina.

Yep, not one single device that is being advertised for vaginal rejuvenation, vaginoplasty, vaginal renewal has legitimate proof of whether it is safe to use in the vagina, or whether they are even effective for use down there.

Here’s another problem – some of the physicians that are offering vaginal rejuvenation procedures are plastic surgeons and dermatologists, not doctors who are trained in or normally perform procedures inside the vay-jay. But they are advertising these devices and procedures and are telling women they are totally safe with no side effects.

The FDA begs to differ and released a warning recommending women avoid these procedures until manufacturers have proven their devices are safe. The FDA said it is receiving reports of bleeding and pain and the government agency is concerned.

Jada – You Only Get One Vagina

So, women are having these procedures done and are being left with injuries that put a serious damper on having sex. Some women were burned INSIDE their vaginas, and others were left with scar tissue that will remain hard and inflexible. Other women said they were left in pain and bleeding.

These devices should not cause anyone to suffer burns, scarring, pain, or bleeding. Some of the devices are approved for certain procedures, such as removing genital warts or cancerous tissue, and others were developed for other types of tissue work, like facials. But none were developed to freshen, re-virginize, or de-age the vagina or to improve feminine incontinence.

Not one of these device makers have conducted large, clinical trials that examine the effects of the vaginal wall after these devices are used – and repeatedly used for the long term. They only cite these small studies that have few participants and they only follow them for months, not years.

In the eyes of the government, not one of these devices has proven it’s safer or better than treatments that are known to be safe and effective, and not one of these devices is advertising that they could burn your yoni and leave you all scarred up and in pain. They don’t even suggest it. And guess what, many victims are speaking with attorneys about using a vaginal rejuvenation lawsuit to hold device makers accountable.

If the makers of these devices believed they were safe and effective, then they would get approval from the FDA to market, advertise, and sell them. If they can’t face the FDA and prove these devices are safe, then they shouldn’t go near anyone’s Yoni. Jada honey, you can do what you want with the core of your being, but you only get one vagina in a lifetime, and most women don’t want theirs burned up so some company can turn a profit.
